With a much needed beautiful spring day three of our group managed to get together for lunch and to show off our latest "finishes" and of course to preview April's blocks.
Marrianne was the hostess this month and with Peggy gone back East and missing Christina we were small but still held a regular meeting.
Lunch was a yummy pita bread with a warm turkey filling...you will have to share the recipe with us...and we had an enjoyable chat as we ate. Previous to lunch we made block choices to try and finish up the year 2009, so be thinking Peggy and Christina. We also discussed if we would just skip the blocks in Dec so that the hostess in Jan doesn't feel overwhelmed during the Christmas holiday period. We decided to talk to Peggy since she is our Jan hostess.

Cathie explained how she varied from the pattern for the lower right block by strip piecing and ignoring the paper foundation. She said that for her it went together much quicker than expected and although she made the little rectangles squares the block doesn't look much different than the original.
